Mr. Skin

Mr. Skin is the name of an online resource for celebrating nudity in film, founded in August 1999, as well as the name of its Chief Executive Officer. After an appearance on the Howard Stern Show in 2000, Mr. Skin became a regular guest, ultimately producing a "Mr. Skin Minute" that continues to air every Thursday as part Stern's Sirius Satellite Radio program. Since then, Mr. Skin has become one of the most sought-after guests on talk radio. To date, he has logged in more than 500 radio show appearances in all the top markets. Other hosts that regularly feature Mr. Skin include Lex and Terry, Tom Leykis, The Adam Carolla Show, Steve Dahl, Opie and Anthony, Kidd Chris, The Bob & Tom Show and The "World Famous" Frank Show. In 2007, MrSkin.com figured as a major plot point in writer-director Judd Apatow's blockbuster comedy, Knocked Up, which was discussed in a New York Times Business section feature titled "Site That Bills Itself as Movie Reviewer Finds That Sex Sells" detailing MrSkin.com's history, its prominence in "Knocked Up" and the site's positive relationship with Hollywood companies as a marketing tool. Notes Mr. Newman in the piece: "The movie studios not only tolerate Mr. Skin but also court him by sending advance screeners of DVD releases." As Mr. Skin then points out: "The movie companies aren't stupid."
